01. Establishing Connection
Hello, World. Or rather, hello, visitor of the cyberspace.
I am Cheyida, a high school student from Shanghai, and the first (and currently only) citizen and architect of this digital nation known as Republic Qpon.
This "government portal" you see before you—with its dark frosted-glass aesthetics and neon-blue blinking cursor—is a piece of digital sovereign territory I have carved out for myself in the vast expanse of the internet.
02. Why "Republic" and "Portal"?
You might wonder: why does a high school student's personal blog look like an official gateway from some cyberpunk video game?
Because to me, writing code is, in itself, an act of world-building.
In the physical world, I am a student facing endless exams and the pressure of college entrance. But in the cyberspace built of 0s and 1s, I am the architect. I can define the gravity (animations) with CSS, establish the laws (logic) with JavaScript, and construct the buildings (components) with Astro.
Republic Qpon is not a serious institution; it is a utopia of the geek spirit. It stands for:
- Open Source: Knowledge shared, code transparent.
- Republic: Where technology and creativity engage in equal dialogue.
- Portal: The interface connecting the wild ideas in my mind to the outside world.
03. Infrastructure (Tech Stack)
As a developer who values performance and geek aesthetics, the foundation of this portal was not built with bloated legacy frameworks.
- Core Engine: Astro. I am obsessed with its "zero-JS-by-default" blazing speed and the elegance of its Islands Architecture.
- UI Design: Hand-crafted CSS. The terminal prompt
